#1. Masuk belajar balik

I am taking master in engineering at a southern university as some already have known. It is a part-time program the same as sue is taking right now, she's taking something about IT i think,although I’m not too sure about the way it’s done at her U.

Anyway, I’m taking advance engineering math this sem. It’s a core subject i.e. I can’t avoided it. Truth to be told, I’m not that good in Math…hmmm..
I bought the text book and I just can’t help wondering why in the world is the book must be that BIG?! I mean, just by looking at it you’d know it’ll be heavy, and yes it’s heavy! At around 2.5kg…that is one of the heaviest book I have right now.

On the left is similar book that I used during my study at Japan. Also advance math book, they called it advance mathematical analysis. Granted it only have 5 chapters but still the size is small and easy to carry around. Content wise is very good, I still use it nowadays.

Hmm…berat buku = beratnya ilmu?

Tidak sebegitu bukan?

A week later after that
Sms coming: long, ni number dia, nama dia s***. Telepon ler..
Aku: (buat tak tau jek)

Two weeks after that

Ngah: camne long? Nak on ke tak? Dia tunggu je nko telepon…
Aku: emmmmmmmmm….tak pe lah kot? Suruh dia cari orang lain.
Ngah: okaylah camtu , jangan nko nyesal pulak nanti.

Last week:
Kak ngah: long, ni ha gambar dia….
Aku: mmmm. Meh tengok.
Mak aih!!!! Cantik jugak dia nih! hahahahaha! Menyesal aku tolak dulu hehe
Keja apa dia nih?
Kak ngah: kawan saya masa sekolah dulu, skang jadi ustazah kat s***. Budak UIA tau?!
Aku: ooohhhh…
hmmmm… (dalam hati: patutnya tengok gambar dulu )
Segan pulak kalau nak on balik hahaha
Kak ngah: kalau nak boleh aje..before dia kena posting kat Sarawak sana…

Two years...

Lama sudah saya menunggu. Dah nak dekat dua tahun. Actually sejak tahun 2000 lagi dah kenal. So what…it has been nearly 5 years since my first encounter?5 years is one quite long timeframe...

Tapi jumpanya cuma sekejap sekejap sahaja. Apa nak buat dah keadaan saya dan dia begini. But I persist and Alhamdulillah this Saturday, I’ll have the opportunity to feel that magic once again.

Masa tahun 2000 tuh, musim sejuk. Biasalah, Hokkaido semasa musim sejuk tak pernah mengenal suhu diatas -5 darjah celcius. Ditambah lagi dengan waktu itu saya sedang sibuk sangat dengan final year thesis. Tapi sanggup juga saya meredah salji semata-mata nak berjumpa dengan dia.

My last encouter was on 2003. Sejak dari itu, rindu saya pada dia tak boleh ditahan tapi apakan daya cuma itu sahaja kesempatan yang ada.

But that will end this Saturday. At long last, we'll meet again.
My dear blogger friends, at long last dapat jugaklah saya bersama dengan idola saya.

Harry Potter!!!!

Hahahahahahaha.
Yes, this coming Saturday the newest installment of Harry Potter books; Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince will be available to the public! Saya dah buat tempahan sejak May lalu, so you can imagine how eager I am to have my hand on this book.

Sayangnya saya ada kelas pada pagi Sabtu itu, kalau tak sebelum kedai buku tu buka saya dah terpacak kat situ hehehe :P

Dua tahun sanggup menunggu, setakat sehari lebih nih takde bende la.

Next book in my list: Exile Return by Robert E. Feist, Buku ke-8 Lagenda Artakusiad oleh Ahmad Patria Abdullah, last book in Barthemius Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud.
Banyak lagi sebenarnya.

Japan and me part 1

Sementelah ramai yang baru masuk U termasuk diri saya sendiri, teringin juga nak cerita pasal my life at Japan during my University days.

Apsal saya nak gi Jepun?

Three reasons.

The WHY was never really asked to me by anyone except during Mara scholarship (not really scholarship because I have to pay 10% of the amount ‘invested’ in me) interview. My answer to the interviewer was that I think there is much to be learned from this Asian Dragon, and in line with (ex) PM Tun (it was Dr.) Mahathir Look to East Policy, I would very like to heed that call.
I think that was what I answered, coz truth to be told I can’t really remember. This was 10 years ago!

The second reason was that I remembered one of my high school's senior commented that he won’t be going to US of A or UK for he thought that the surrounding is macamana nak cakap yek? Err..terlalu social? That’s why he opted for Japan.
Eh betul juga tuh? or so i thought. Little did I know that Japan is more or less the same in that sense with the rest of the developed country.hehehe (the word ‘spanking’ gives me a different image now...hehehe :P )

Third reason,

Tak pernah pun cakap kat sesapa rasanya tapi one of the reason I went to japan was that I wanted to learn Aikido.
Ha’ah aikido yang Steven Seagel selalu bantai orang kat dalam filem tuh. Hahaha kinda lame reason isn’t?
But I managed to get both my degree and my black belt in Aikido. I can never fully express my gratitude to Fujii Sensei and the rest of Aikido club members for teaching and training with me. Arigatou Gozaimashita.
Yes, i know, kinda cheesy reason to begin with, but i managed to get japanese college life there.

Sebenarnya ada dua interview ke luar negara yang saya dapat dan kedua-duanya adalah ke Jepun. Satu dari Mara dan satu lagi dari JPA.

I got offer from both of them. I opted for Mara because Mara offered a lot more choices of U than JPA back then.

So one month after the interview I enrolled into JMC (Japan Matriculation Center) at Cheras. It was one and a half year matriculation program and I tell you the first three month pressure was so great I was thinking of dropping out several time!

Btw, adik langsat pun ada sorang kat JPA’s Japan program, by this time he’s under intense pressure I think, so langsat, motivate your brother okay?!

Next week start dah sem ke2 kat UTM...
oohhh now comes the pening kepala dan sakit jantung hehehe

New semester 20052006

Semalam adik saya Jauharah mendaftarkan diri dia utk kursus Sains Fizik Perubatan di UTM.Senang le utk dia balik rumah.apa taknya, dari UTM ke rumah kami cuma 10 minit jek!hehehe. Apapun, i hope she'll get through this episode of her life with flying colours and with lot of experiences.Tahniah jowrah :D

11hb Julai nanti, akan bermula juga semester kedua saya di UTM Skudai. This coming semester is going to be tough, as i'll be taking Adv Eng Math. wallau wehh...adv math has never been my favourite subjek even time kat U dulu pun. Kena berlatih banyak2 le gamaknya.
Other than that, i think this semester is going to be a little bit too tough, as i'll be the only part-time student. It was three of us, wong, lakhtar singh and me. tapi wong kecundang di tengah jalan....singh tu pulak gi jepun for some training...leaving me by myself.
Susah nak mintak other student to do night class if i am the only part-time student. I have no leverage on me.Mintak2 ada la part-time student baru this sem.Kalau takde....well, we'll see by that time.

oh ya, nak mengucapkan omedetou gozaimas kepada (Cik) Puan Suerinz kerana berjaya diterima masuk ke program master dlm bidang Sains dengan majoring in Database sebagai pelajar research 100% separuh masa. Cheers to three long years of hardship and tears and basically no private life hehehehe :P

Juga kepada Chika-chan yang berjaya masuk ke kursus Arkitek di UKM. She said it's quite uncommon for a female to study Architechture, don't know about that, but I really hope she'll do it great. Tahniah.
